Booking & payments

How do I book a charter?

Send us a request through the charter designer, the form or WhatsApp. We check availability and send a written proposal, valid for 7 days; we can also hold your dates as an option for 3 days. The booking is confirmed when the charter agreement is signed and the 50% deposit is received.

What does the weekly price include?

The yacht and her full crew, insurance, linen and towels, and the water toys listed as included. Fuel, food and drinks, marina and port fees are paid through the APA; VAT and the crew gratuity are separate. Each yacht page lists exactly what is included and what is not.

What is the APA?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance is an advance, usually about 30% of the charter fee, that the captain uses for fuel, food and drinks, and port costs during your charter. You receive a full statement, and anything not spent is refunded at the end.

When do I pay?

50% when you sign the charter agreement; the balance and the APA 30 days before embarkation. For bookings made later than that, everything is paid on signing. Payment is by bank transfer.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation is made in writing. More than 30 days before embarkation the deposit is retained; closer than that the full fee is due. If we re-charter the same dates, we refund what you paid less the re-chartering costs, and unspent APA is always refunded. We recommend travel insurance.

Do I book with a broker?

No. Dodo Yachting owns and operates the yacht, so your proposal, contract, payments and the crew on board are all with us directly.

On board

How many guests can sail?

Dodo welcomes up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, looked after by a crew of 10.

Are children welcome?

Yes. Tell us their ages when you book so we can prepare the right life jackets, menus and activities.

Is there Wi-Fi on board?

Yes. Coverage depends on the bay; in some remote coves the signal is weak, which many guests enjoy.

Routes & weather

Can we choose our route?

Yes. Pick one of our sample routes or tell us what you would like, and the captain plans it with you. He may adapt any day for wind, weather or local rules.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The captain moves to sheltered bays and changes the order of the days. Weather is not a reason for cancellation, but the Turkish coast has many protected coves, so there is almost always a calm place to be.

Can we start elsewhere or visit the Greek islands?

Often, yes. Embarking away from the home port may add a delivery fee, and crossing to Greece needs passport formalities arranged in advance. Ask us and we will include it in your proposal.

Food & drinks

Who cooks, and can you handle allergies?

Our chef cooks every meal on board. Before the charter you fill in a preference form for the chef — favourite dishes, diets and allergies — and menus are planned around it.

How do drinks work?

Drinks are bought for you through the APA from your list, so you only pay for what you choose. If you would like something special on board, tell us in advance.

Practical

Where do we embark and how do we get there?

Your proposal states the port and time. The nearest airport to Göcek and Fethiye is Dalaman (DLM); we can arrange a private transfer on request.

What should we pack?

Soft bags rather than hard suitcases, light clothes, swimwear, a hat and sunscreen, and something warm for the evenings. Decks are barefoot, so no shoes are needed on board.

Should we tip the crew?

It is customary but entirely at your discretion; guests often leave 5–15% of the charter fee, given to the captain for the whole crew.
