Göcek
A gulf of pine-covered islands and sheltered coves, made for calm days at anchor.
Göcek sits at the head of Fethiye Bay, where a dozen islands break the wind and the sea stays flat even on breezy afternoons. Hops between anchorages take half an hour, so most of the day is spent swimming, paddling and eating.
The coves are deep and clear, often with only a handful of boats, and several have small family restaurants reached by their own jetty. It is the gentlest cruising ground on the Turkish coast and an easy first charter for families.
